What We’re Looking For:

IMS is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented entry-level Communications and Social Media Specialist to join our marketing team. This role is ideal for a proactive individual eager to develop their skills in social media management, content creation, and corporate communications within a dynamic healthcare distribution environment.

Job Requirements

What You Bring to the Table:
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, PR, Journalism, or related field.

  • Strong writer and editor with a clean, concise style (AP style familiarity a plus).

  • Working knowledge of social platforms, scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer), and Canva/Adobe Express (basic cropping, resizing, simple video trims).

  • Data-curious: can read dashboards (native analytics, GA4) and turn insights into action.

  • Organized, deadline-driven, and collaborative; comfortable juggling multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:
  • Comfort with a CMS (e.g., HubSpot CMS) and basic HTML is a plus.

  • Basic SEO management (keyword research, content optimization)

  • Light photo/video editing and capture skills

Job Responsibilities

How You’ll Make an Impact:

Social Media (≈40%)

  • Own the social content calendar across LinkedIn (and others as needed).

  • Draft, schedule, and publish posts; coordinate asset needs with design; QA all posts.

  • Community management: monitor comments/DMs, escalate service issues, and maintain brand voice.

  • Live coverage at select events; capture photos/video; post real-time updates.

  • Social listening for industry trends, competitor moves, and engagement opportunities.

  • Track KPIs (reach, engagement, CTR, follower growth, share of voice) and deliver monthly reports.

  • Partner on light paid boosts/sponsored posts (targeting, budgets, UTM tracking).

Corporate Communications (≈25%)

  • Support external comms: press releases, blogs, terms and conditions, closings, holidays and etc.

  • Maintain message and tone consistency; proof for AP style, grammar, and accessibility.

  • Assist with crisis/issue comms preparation (FAQs, approval routing).

Website Enhancements (≈35%)

  • Update site product, copy, news posts, landing pages, and resources in the CMS.

  • Execute basic on-page SEO (titles, meta, headers, alt text) and accessibility best practices.

  • Build and QA simple forms/UTMs; test links, responsive layouts, and page performance.
