Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Pharmacy Technicians.
The Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant delivery of pharmaceutical services to residents in long-term care facilities. This position involves preparing and packaging medications, managing inventory, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
· Medication Preparation & Dispensing
o Accurately fill and label prescriptions using automated and manual systems
o Prepare blister packs, unit-dose packaging, and medication carts for facility delivery
· Regulatory Compliance
o Maintain compliance with DEA, state boards of pharmacy, CMS, and facility-specific protocols
o Ensure proper documentation and handling of controlled substances
o Support PDMP reporting and audit readiness
· Inventory & Supply Chain Management
o Monitor stock levels, expiration dates, and reorder thresholds
o Receive, store, and organize pharmaceutical inventory
o Coordinate returns, recalls, and waste disposal in accordance with regulations
· Communication & Coordination
o Liaise with nurses, physicians, and facility staff to clarify orders and resolve discrepancies
o Respond to medication-related inquiries and assist with formulary management
o Support transitions of care by preparing discharge medications and updating profiles
· Technology & Documentation
o Operate pharmacy software systems (e.g., FrameworkLTC, Framework ECM)
o Maintain accurate records of dispensing, billing, and inventory transactions
o Assist with quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
Qualifications:Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification preferred (CPhT)
· Active state pharmacy technician license (as required)
· Minimum 1–2 years of experience in LTC, retail, or institutional pharmacy setting
· Familiarity with Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and third-party billing processes
· Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Skills
· Proficiency in medication reconciliation and MAR documentation
· Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams
Working Conditions
· May involve standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
· Flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
· Exposure to confidential patient information; HIPAA compliance required
