What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Admissions and Business Development position at Integrated Healing Centers?
Integrated Healing Centers is looking for a natural relationship-builder who is equally comfortable describing our program in front of a room full of professionals, on the phone with clients and families, or in front of a camera creating content for the public. This person articulates what we do and why it works.
A clinical background is an asset, but the right person for this role might come from behavioral health, from medical sales, from community outreach, from marketing, or from somewhere else entirely. We’re less interested in your resume than your personality, instincts, and drive.
This role is fundamentally about relationships. A successful candidate builds and maintains them in a variety of contexts:
Prospective Clients and Families
You’re the first real human voice our clients encounter. These are often people who know something is off but haven’t yet decided what to do about it. Your job is helping people see a path forward, and making them glad they called. You calm anxieties, help people understand their options, and explain how Integrated Healing Centers can meet their needs. The admissions process sometimes unfolds over days or weeks. You need tight systems, the patience to handle the process short-term, and the tenacity to see it through.
Referral Sources
You’re out in the community. You visit therapists, physicians, school counselors, family attorneys, and anyone whose clients might benefit from a higher level of care. You’re building relationships that take time and genuine follow-through. The best referral partners are busy people who need to trust you before they’ll send you anyone, and you’re willing to do what that takes.
The Broader Community
One of our core beliefs is that our physical space is one of our greatest assets—not just for clients, but for anyone whose work touches our values. Leadership seminars, marriage workshops, wellness events, community gatherings: if it aligns with what we’re about, we want it happening here. We want someone who looks at our studio, sees the potential in our venue, finds the partners we haven’t thought of yet, and treats this as their own creative project.
Digital Marketing
You’ll be one of the primary faces of Integrated Healing Centers across our social channels—shooting video, writing copy, and creating content. We have a strong strategic vision for the brand, and you’ll work closely with program leadership to stay aligned with it. But we’re not looking for someone who waits to be told what to do next. We want someone with their own eye and their own instincts, who pushes the creative conversation rather than just receives it. You should know what sounds right. You should know what looks right. And you should be genuinely comfortable on camera, because that’s increasingly what modern marketing requires.
Who We Are
Integrated Healing Centers is an intensive and general outpatient mental health program in St. George, Utah. If you’ve spent time in behavioral health, you’ll recognize the difference when you walk in the door. We’ve built something action-oriented and relationship-based—a space where real competency-building happens alongside clinical work, and where the environment itself is part of the treatment. It doesn’t look or feel like a therapy office, and it’s not supposed to.
The person we’re hiring will need to understand that difference quickly and communicate it convincingly. The program sells itself to almost everyone who sees it. Your job is getting people in the door.
What We’re Looking For
You are:
- A natural relationship-builder who earns trust quickly and maintains it over time
- Equally comfortable with a skeptical clinician and a family that isn’t sure what they need yet
- Organized and systems-minded—the kind of person who follows up before being asked and lets nothing slip
- Tenacious without being pushy—you understand that some admissions decisions take time, and you stay engaged without burning the relationship
- Genuinely comfortable on camera and confident in your own voice
- Someone with a real eye for what looks and sounds right—your creative standards are your own, not just borrowed from a brief
- Self-directed and action-oriented—you generate your own next move
Strong pluses:
- Background in behavioral health, community outreach, or marketing
- Existing referral relationships in the St. George or southern Utah area
- Experience with social media content creation, Meta advertising, or digital marketing tools
- Basic graphic design fluency (Canva or equivalent)
- Familiarity with IOP or outpatient mental health settings
