Integrate
Washington, DC Intern
POSTED ON 4/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/6/2026
About Us
Integrate is a Seattle-based company building program management software for the world’s most ambitious machines 🦾 Integrate simplifies cross-organizational collaboration within deep tech (think rockets, self-driving cars, robotics), with vendors, customers, and other external stakeholders as seamlessly as other software solves collaboration for internal teams. We are revolutionizing how organizations work together in the new deep tech economy by reducing communication overhead and unnecessary workload.

Our Solution
Despite growing tailwinds in deeptech and manufacturing industries in the US, existing software tools are inadequate to keep up with the rapid iteration and accelerated pace of hardware development. Integrate is developing a modern, specialized software solution that will enable seamless communication between all stakeholders internal and external to bring on the future, faster.

Position Overview
Integrate is seeking a part-time or full-time Government Affairs Intern to support our Washington, DC office and work directly with our Managing Director of Washington Operations. This role is a great opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate student to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of government, national security, and startup operations. You’ll help track legislation and policy developments, prepare briefing materials, support business development efforts, and assist with office operations. No two days will look the same — one day you might be summarizing a new space policy memo, the next attending a Hill meeting or industry event.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct policy research and analysis on aerospace and defense issues relevant to Integrate’s mission
  • Monitor and track government activities, legislation, and industry developments that impact aerospace, defense, and emerging tech
  • Assist in preparing briefing memos, presentations, and meeting materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support business development efforts, including strategy, prospecting, opportunity tracking, and follow-ups
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and office logistics in Washington, DC
  • Assist with scheduling, travel planning, and other administrative tasks for the DC office
  • Jump in on special projects as needed!

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree (ideally in public policy, political science, international relations, economics, or a related field, but all majors will be considered)
  • Ability to begin work full-time or part-time this summer. Candidates available for the fall will also be considered
  • Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to distill complex topics into concise, actionable insights
  • Interest in government affairs, defense tech, and national security
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
