POSITION OVERVIEW: A short description of the general purpose of the position

The Senior Security Manager is a key leadership role responsible for enterprise-wide physical security, access control governance, and protection of personnel, assets, and critical infrastructure across Integra’s construction projects, manufacturing facilities, and office locations.

This position designs, leads, and continuously improves Integra’s Security Management System in alignment with SafeState, PausePoint, IMPACT values, and our high-energy-hazard operational environment. The Senior Security Manager partners with Operations, Manufacturing, HR, IT, and Executive Leadership to ensure the consistent deployment of risk mitigation controls, emergency preparedness, vendor oversight, and security technology across all Integra entities.

The role requires strategic thinking, disciplined execution, and the ability to manage security programs at large scale, including high-risk, high-value environments such as major data center campuses and modular manufacturing plants.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: the main duties and tasks the role is expected to perform

Security Governance & Strategy

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continual improvement of Integra’s Enterprise Security Management System.
  • Define security strategy aligned to business growth, manufacturing expansion, and multi-site construction operations.
  • Establish governance for physical security controls, visitor management, access privileges, and investigations.
  • Integrate SafeState principles into all security protocols, emphasizing risk recognition, PausePoint decision-making, and SIF-potential event prevention.

Operational Security Leadership

  • Oversee security operations across manufacturing facilities, construction sites, corporate offices, and logistics yards.
  • Direct the planning and implementation of security staffing models for multi-state operations.
  • Supervise contract security firms and ensure compliance with performance metrics, training, and post orders.
  • Manage access control systems, alarms, CCTV, credentialing, and site-specific security hardware.

Incident Response & Investigations

  • Lead all major security incident responses, including theft, vandalism, workplace violence, unauthorized access, and criminal activity.
  • Coordinate with HSE, HR, Legal, and Executive Leadership to manage investigations and corrective actions.
  • Develop enterprise standards for reporting, escalation, classification, and closure of security events.

High-Risk & High-Value Asset Protection

  • Oversee protection programs for mission-critical operations: data center commissioning, high-value equipment yards, modular electrical gear, copper inventory, and fleet assets.
  • Develop and enforce controls around tool rooms, laydown areas, dock doors, and shipping/receiving operations.
  • Conduct threat assessments, vulnerability analyses, and risk mitigation planning for new project mobilizations and manufacturing expansions.

Emergency Preparedness & Crisis Management

  • Support enterprise emergency response plans, including active threat, fire, severe weather, evacuation, and shelter-in-place procedures.
  • Serve as a crisis response leader during events impacting sites, facilities, or employees.
  • Coordinate training, tabletop exercises, and response drills across business units.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Partner with HSE leadership to ensure seamless integration of physical security into safety operations, SafeState, and energy-hazard programs.
  • Collaborate with HR on workforce protection, investigations, and workplace violence prevention.
  • Work with IT on cybersecurity, badge systems, and networked security infrastructure.
  • Support Fleet Management on asset tracking, theft prevention, and recovery programs.

Compliance, Vendor Management & Standards

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local security regulations and industry best practices (e.g., NIST physical security controls).
  • Lead procurement, evaluation, and performance auditing of third-party security vendors.
  • Maintain standardized post orders, SOPs, and security expectations across all sites.

Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop and maintain metrics for security events, SIF-potential incidents, response times, staffing effectiveness, and system health.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly leadership reporting with >95% accuracy.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across all security functions with measurable impact.

QUALIFICATIONS: experience, education, and attributes that are required or preferred for the job

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Emergency Management, or related field required.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of progressive security leadership experience in manufacturing, construction, industrial, or mission-critical operations.
  • Experience managing multi-site or enterprise-level security programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of physical security systems: CCTV, access control, alarms, credentialing, visitor management.
  • Proven ability to lead contract security personnel and manage large security vendor relationships.
  • Investigative experience including evidence handling, interviews, documentation, and closeout.
  • Preferred: CPP, PSP, or equivalent certification.

Legal & Regulatory Requirements

  • Must possess legal authorization to work in [Country/Region] without restriction

  • Must successfully complete background checks and any site-specific screenings (e.g., drug/alcohol testing)

Work Environment

  • Primarily site-based at Houston, TX product sites
  • Required to wear appropriate PPE on site (hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, high-visibility apparel, etc.)
  • Exposure to typical industrial or construction conditions: noise, dust, moving machinery, heights, confined spaces
  • Must be physically capable of walking, standing, climbing ladders/scaffolds, and accessing elevated work areas for inspections
  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support urgent incident response, audits, or special training events
