The HSE Manager collaborates with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to identify hazards, develop controls, and measure safety performance.
What you will do?
- Lead the creation, review, and implementation of safety plans, procedures, and technical deliverables.
- Provide subject matter expertise and mentorship to junior safety professionals.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulatory standards.
- Participate in and lead high-level safety reviews, including those related to operational risk and complex processes.
- Plan and deliver targeted training on safety practices, regulatory updates, and hazard mitigation.
- Conduct and document site inspections, hazard assessments, and root cause analyses for incidents.
- Identify trends and recommend improvements to reduce risks and enhance safety performance.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineering, operations, and leadership to integrate safety into all phases of work.
- Stay current with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in safety management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (required).
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction or General Industry – Required
- First Aid/CPR Certification – required
- Minimum 5 years of progressive safety experience, including field-based safety roles.
- Experience leading other safety professionals.
- Experience in high-risk industries such as construction, energy, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Must possess legal authorization to work in US
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel between project sites as needed.
- Knowledge and application of OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910/1926), NFPA, ANSI, ISO 45001 and other relevant regulations/conformance standards.
- Ability to maintain site safety records and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred).
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) – Preferred
- Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST)– Preferred
- Occupational Health & Safety Technician (OHST)– Preferred - For manufacturing & service roles only
- Additional certifications such as CIH, or ASP – preferred
