The Opportunity

The Director of Supplier Quality is responsible for developing and leading the company's supplier quality strategy to ensure suppliers consistently meet quality, delivery, regulatory, and performance expectations. This role provides leadership across supplier qualifications, supplier development, supplier audits, corrective actions, quality performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Director of Supplier Quality partners closely with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, Construction, Site teams and Supply Chain to drive supplier excellence, minimize risk, and support the successful launch and production of mission critical products and systems.

What you will do?

SUPPLIER QUALITY STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE

  • Develop and lead the enterprise supplier quality strategy to ensure suppliers consistently meet Integra quality, delivery, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Establish supplier quality standards, procedures, scorecards, and governance processes across qualification, onboarding, production, project execution, and lifecycle support.
  • Define supplier quality KPIs, review performance trends, and report key risks, corrective actions, and improvement priorities for material suppliers, service suppliers, trade partners, contractors, and subcontractors to senior leadership.

SUPPLIER QUALIFICATION, AUDITS, AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Define quality expectations, inspection requirements, documentation standards, and acceptance criteria for service providers, trade partners, contractors, and subcontractors before work begins.
  • Lead supplier qualification, requalification, and approval processes in partnership with Procurement, Engineering, Manufacturing, Construction, Project Management, Site Operations and Supply Chain.
  • Plan and execute supplier audits, assessments, and readiness reviews to verify process capability, quality system effectiveness, and compliance with contractual and technical requirements.
  • Develop supplier improvement plans and capability-building actions to close gaps, reduce risk, and improve long-term supplier performance.
  • Establish quality onboarding, evaluation, and periodic performance review processes for material and service suppliers, trade partners, contractors, and subcontractors supporting field execution, construction, commissioning, and operational support activities.
  • Implement risk-based surveillance, field inspections, hold points, witness points, readiness reviews, and work-in-progress quality checks for contractor and subcontractor activities.
  • Ensure service suppliers, trade partners, contractors, and subcontractors maintain required quality records, inspection test plans, turnover packages, certifications, test reports, and closeout documentation.

NONCONFORMANCE, CORRECTIVE ACTION, AND RISK MANAGEMENT

  • Lead supplier nonconformance management, containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and effectiveness verification.
  • Drive risk-based supplier and contractor quality planning for critical materials, engineered equipment, fabricated assemblies, mission-critical components, field services, trade work, and subcontracted scopes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence of supplier defects, minimize cost of poor quality, and protect customer commitments.

INSPECTION, RELEASE, AND QUALITY PERFORMANCE

  • Define supplier, service provider, contractor, and subcontractor inspection, source inspection, first article, factory acceptance, field acceptance, and release requirements based on product, service, trade scope, and project risk.
  • Ensure supplier quality records, inspection documentation, test reports, and certificates of conformance are complete, accurate, and available to support project and customer requirements.
  • Monitor supplier quality performance, including defect rates, escape trends, on-time corrective action closure, audit findings, and quality-related delivery impacts.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL PARTNERSHIP AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Operations, and Supply Chain to embed quality requirements into supplier selection, contracts, specifications, and project execution plans.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to improve first-pass quality, reduce variation, improve delivery reliability, and strengthen process controls.
  • Build and lead a high-performing supplier quality team through clear priorities, coaching, talent development, and accountability for measurable results.

TEAM LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT

  • Lead and manage supplier quality team, providing directions, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
  • Set measurable objectives and KPIs that align with company priorities and client expectations.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on status, highlighting critical issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Supply chain, Construction Management, or a related field; Master's degree in a relevant discipline (preferred).
  • 12 years of progressive experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, or Supplier Development, with at least 5 years in leadership role.
  • Proven experience in implementing and managing Supplier Quality Management Systems in high-risk industries such as construction, engineering, or manufacturing is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of supplier qualifications, supplier audits, quality systems, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing suppliers at executive and operational levels
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Lead Auditor certification (preferred).
