The CAD Designer supports substation engineering projects by creating detailed drawings and design documents for new construction, upgrades, and modifications. This role works closely with engineers and project teams to ensure all drawings are accurate, consistent, and aligned with project and industry standards.

- Prepare 2D and 3D CAD drawings for substation layouts, equipment arrangements, structures, grounding, and conduit routing.
- Update and revise drawings based on engineering inputs, field notes, and markups.
- Support the development of design packages, including plans, sections, details, and bills of material.
- Maintain drawing quality and consistency in accordance with company standards and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and other designers to resolve design issues.
- Manage document control for assigned projects, ensuring the latest versions of drawings and files are properly stored and distributed.
- Assist with field verification and as-built updates as needed.
- Associate degree in Drafting/Design Technology or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD platforms.
- Substation or utility drafting experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering sketches and specifications.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
