We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role involves working closely with individuals in various settings, including home care, assisted living facilities, and nursing homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide patient care by monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes in health status.
- Support clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
- Assist with medication administration as per care plans and guidelines.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being.
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia care needs.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers when necessary.
- Document care provided and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy.
Experience
Candidates should have experience or familiarity with the following:
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Previous work in group homes, nursing homes, or hospice care settings is advantageous.
- Experience in home & community care, including caregiving for seniors or individuals with disabilities such as autism.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques and monitoring for changes in condition.
- Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual client needs.

Pay: $18.31 - $20.00 per hour
