Key Responsibilities
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis
- Size core and adjacent markets through analysis of federal budgets, defense strategic documents, and industry white papers.
- Develop a systematic competitive tracking cadence, monitoring competitor wins, contract awards, positioning, and technology movements.
- Build business cases and ROI models to support go/no-go decisions on new verticals and partnerships.
- Create customer maps on key programs.
- Turn complex external information into concise executive-ready summaries and recommendations.
- Serve as the point person for special projects and ad hoc strategic initiatives, structuring complex problems, collaborating cross-functionally to develop solutions, and driving execution.
- Prepare materials for board meetings, engagements, and internal syncs, translating operational data into strategic narratives for both external and internal audiences.
- Identify and implement AI-driven solutions to accelerate research, data extraction, and analysis across strategy and business development workflows.
- Support pricing strategy for products and services, including value-based pricing, cost modeling, and margin analysis to inform price-to-win.
- Partner with the CSO in managing financial forecasts and budget preparation across BD, B&P, Marketing, and IRAD.
- Support M&A evaluation as acquisition opportunities arise, including target identification, strategic fit assessment, and preliminary financial analysis.
- Maintain and refine business development team performance metrics and dashboards, providing alerts and analysis on performance variances.
- Develop pipeline forecasting models that project growth trajectory against targets.
- Support CRM data integrity, ensuring the pipeline is accurate and ready for executive-level reporting.
