Position SummaryThe Controller plays a critical role in overseeing financial operations for a staffing organization, ensuring accuracy in cash management, payroll processing, and tax compliance. This role requires deep expertise in high‑volume payroll environments, multi‑state tax regulations, and cash flow oversight, while partnering with leadership to drive financial integrity and operational efficiency. Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations including cash handling, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger.Manage payroll for a high‑volume, multi‑state workforce; ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.Administer federal, state, and local tax filings, including payroll taxes, sales/use taxes, and corporate returns.Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard cash and financial assets.Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support staffing operations.Coordinate audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors and regulatory agencies.Partner with operations and HR to ensure seamless integration of payroll and staffing processes.Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.7 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in the staffing industry.Strong expertise in cash handling, payroll administration, and tax compliance.QuickbooksKnowledge of multi‑state payroll systems and tax regulations.Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate across departments.
Salary : $95,000 - $115,000
