What You Will Do
As part of our Mergers and Acquisitions team, the Corporate Development Associate will be responsible for leading the entire M&A process, from start to finish. Your duties include identifying potential targets for mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and joint ventures, leading and performing due diligence, negotiating the terms of the deal, overseeing the creation of investment proposals from a financial, strategic, and risk perspective, and supporting Inszone’s culture within the team, enabling a positive and engaging environment for long-term team growth and success.
Location: Clarksville, TN
Workplace: Onsite
Compensation: $90,000-125,000 per year
This is an ONSITE role in Clarksville TN, 4-5 days per week. Candidates who do not meet this criteria will not be considered for this role at this time.
Candidates with 3-5 years of experience in business-to-business sales preferred. Prior Insurance and/or Mergers and Acquisitions experience is helpful, but not required. Responsibilities:
- Actively identifying and sourcing acquisition targets, fostering relationships and building a pipeline aligned with the company’s objectives.
- Develop a strong understanding of business segment needs to provide personalized assistance and exceptional service throughout the sale, acquisition, and/or partnership process.
- Participating in analyzing addressable markets and collaborating with business unit leaders and specialists to update strategies.
- Collaborate within and across business segments to help identify, engage, assess, and prioritize M&A transactions that best align with strategy and growth.
- Take accountability for the development of operating financial models used to evaluate a target’s financial projections and review comprehensive financial valuations involving discounted cash flow, internal rate of return, accretion/dilution, and comparable company/transaction analyses.
- Develop presentation materials supporting M&A and partnership strategy.
- Participate in legal negotiations and lead business point resolution regarding transaction-related contracts.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis using Excel, as well as experience with financial databases
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, as well as independently when required.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Ethical Standards: High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Experience: Candidates with experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a related field, with exposure to M&A transactions are also encouraged to apply.
