What You’ll Do:
As a Patient Meal Services Associate, you will ensure patients receive meals and snacks that meet their medical, cultural, and personal preferences. Your responsibilities include:

• Collecting and recording patient meal and snack selections, accommodating age-specific, dietary, allergy, cultural, and religious needs.
• Assembling and delivering meals accurately according to diet orders, tray tickets, or snack labels.
• Preparing tray tickets, managing tray line operations, and handling food portioning.
• Receiving, inspecting, and storing deliveries of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Maintaining organized and fully stocked pantries, refrigerators, and supply areas.
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas according to established procedures.
• Monitoring patient diet orders, meal counts, and nutritional information using CBORD and other facility systems.
• Recording and reporting food temperatures, dishwashing data, and other quality control metrics.
• Preparing daily commissary orders and maintaining inventory records.
• Assisting in training new team members and supporting other food service operations as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions accurately.
• Data entry skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and handheld electronic devices.
• Ability to draft short correspondence clearly and professionally.
• Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present information in one-on-one or group situations to customers, clients, and team members.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Comfort using computer systems and handheld devices.
• Flexibility to work various schedules as needed.
