Job Overview
Acute care hospital seeking Certified Surgical Technologist (Level I or II) to join its high-performing Surgical Services team. This is a great opportunity for both new grads and experienced CSTs looking for a strong, collaborative OR environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with appropriate surgical instruments and sterile supplie
- Maintain sterile field throughout procedures
- Pass instruments and supplies during surgery
- Anticipate surgeon needs to maintain procedure efficiency
- Assist with surgical draping and dressing application
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Assist with patient positioning and transfers
- Maintain organized and sterile surgical environment
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams
Requirements
- Education- Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technology program
- Active VA State License ( or begin application process to obtain )
- Certifications- CST (NBSTSA) required and BLS (AHA) required
- Experience- 1 year OR experience preferred (new grads welcome)
