ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client, a well-established and financially strong specialty Property & Casualty insurance organization, is seeking a Senior Pricing Actuary to play a key role in shaping pricing strategy across its commercial insurance portfolio. Working alongside underwriting, product, technology, and executive leadership, you'll help drive pricing innovation, enhance analytical capabilities, and develop sophisticated rating tools that support long-term profitability within a collaborative, technology-driven environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead pricing strategy and actuarial analyses supporting commercial insurance portfolios.
Conduct rate indication studies to ensure rate adequacy and profitable growth.
Design, enhance, and maintain sophisticated pricing models and rating methodologies.
Develop innovative pricing tools that enable underwriters to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Partner closely with Underwriting, Product, IT, and Data Analytics to implement pricing logic within policy administration systems.
Monitor renewal pricing performance and retention trends to optimize portfolio results.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) required.
10 years of Property & Casualty actuarial experience, preferably within commercial insurance.
Deep expertise in commercial insurance pricing, rating plans, predictive analytics, and portfolio management.
Strong programming and analytical skills utilizing SQL, Python, Excel, and modern data tools.
Experience collaborating with underwriting, technology, and executive leadership on enterprise pricing initiatives.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex actuarial concepts into business recommendations.
Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Salary : $160,000 - $220,000
