Insulation Commandos of Columbus is seeking a dedicated and skilled Crew Chief to lead our installation team in Columbus, Ohio. This hands-on leadership position is ideal for an experienced insulation professional who can motivate a crew, ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently, and deliver exceptional workmanship and customer service. As an Insulation Crew Chief, you will play a crucial role in improving energy efficiency, comfort, and safety in residential and commercial buildings. You will be responsible for the installation and removal of various types of insulation materials, as well as performing tasks such as radiant barrier installation, rodent mitigation, and air sealing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise insulation installation crews on residential and light commercial projects.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Install fiberglass, cellulose, spray foam, and other insulation products.
• Perform attic air sealing, insulation removal, and crawl space insulation.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards.
• Train, mentor, and coach installers on proper installation techniques and safety procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Communicate with customers to explain the installation process and answer questions professionally.
• Complete job documentation and communicate project updates with management.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in insulation installation is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience leading a crew or supervising field employees preferred.
• Knowledge of fiberglass, cellulose, spray foam, attic ventilation, and air sealing techniques.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read work orders and installation specifications.
• Valid driver’s license REQUIRED.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks, working in attics, crawl spaces, and varying weather conditions.
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Willingness to undergo additional training and certifications as required.
