Role Description
The Territory Sales Representative is a full-time, in the field role covering the state of Utah. This role is responsible for managing and growing a defined sales territory by building strong relationships with the brick-and-mortar flooring experts and their teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting new accounts, conducting in-person product education meetings, presenting product lines, and providing technical product guidance to our partners. The Territory Sales Representative will regularly visit business partner showrooms, participate in industry events, deliver product training, and ensure displays and merchandising standards are always maintained. The role also involves tracking sales performance, preparing territory reports, collaborating with internal teams on pricing and promotions, and consistently representing the InStride Surfaces brand and our values.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in B2B Brick-and- Mortar flooring sales
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and partner service skills, with the ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities.
- Ability to manage a geographic territory, including planning travel, scheduling customer visits, and maintaining organized records.
- Proficient with independent field work and remote collaboration using CRM, email, and virtual meeting tools.
- Solid business acumen, including understanding of margins, pricing strategies, and sales forecasting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including confident product presentations and training sessions for our partners.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel within the state of Utah.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree is preferred. Commensurate sales experience and passion trumps all.
- Ability to lift samples, build displays as needed.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, inclusive collaboration, and delivering a high standard of service.
