Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate physical function, mobility limitations, and pain levels using comprehensive physiology and anatomy knowledge.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans that incorporate physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy, orthopedics strategies, and geriatrics-focused interventions.
- Deliver hands-on therapy sessions to improve patient outcomes in areas like musculoskeletal injuries, post-surgical recovery, pediatrics, and chronic conditions.
- Coordinate discharge planning with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions from hospital to home or community settings.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems to document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed treatment records.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, injury prevention strategies, and home care routines to promote ongoing recovery outside clinical settings.
- Stay current with medical terminology updates, advances in physiotherapy practices, and relevant certifications to provide the highest standard of care.
Experience
- Strong background in handling diverse populations including geriatrics, , orthopedics, and individuals requiring specialized care such as trigger point therapy.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for efficient documentation and patient data Knowledge
- Prior experience in hospital or home health settings is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and the principles of physiotherapy to inform evidence-based treatment approaches.
