Overview
IMCES is seeking a dedicated Staff Attorney to join our Domestic Violence Program. This role provides legal services and advocacy for diverse clients facing domestic violence challenges. The candidate must be familiar with Family Law, Domestic Violence, Immigration, Civil Disputes, Litigation, and General Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation and advocacy for clients, including survivors of domestic violence and individuals navigating immigration matters.
- Handle cases in family law, civil disputes, and general litigation.
- Conducted legal research, drafted pleadings, and represented clients in court proceedings.
- Identify, develop, and connect clients with legal resources to ensure they receive comprehensive support.
- Collaborate with Case managers to provide holistic support to clients.
- Ensure compliance with DPSS funding requirements and reporting obligations.
Qualifications:
- Active California Bar License and in good standing.
- At least one year of post-graduate legal experience in relevant practice areas.
- Experience working with underserved populations, including survivors of domestic violence and immigrant communities.
- Strong legal research, writing, and litigation skills.
- Commitment to social justice and client-centered advocacy.
Salary $68,640.00 - $ 80.000
