Data Warehouse Architect
Location: Lansing, MI – Hybrid
Contract: 1 year, dependent on business need
Schedule: 2 days onsite weekly – Wednesday & Thursday required
The Client is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to support their department's Data Warehouse environment. This is a hands-on senior role focused on Teradata, data warehouse architecture, ETL/data integration, batch processing, Linux, security, data quality, troubleshooting, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support enterprise Data Warehouse, ETL, batch processing, and scheduling environments.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide advanced technical support.
- Manage Teradata security, user access, Linux security, and elevated-access reviews.
- Handle code/DDL promotions, change management, build and release activities.
- Support data integration from multiple source systems and ensure data quality.
- Perform data profiling, validation, cleansing, and standardization.
- Monitor system performance and support upgrades, patches, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Maintain technical documentation and conduct architecture reviews and audits.
- Work with developers, leadership, business stakeholders, State teams, and vendors.
- Provide technical guidance and training to development teams.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of hands-on Teradata experience – REQUIRED
- Experience supporting enterprise and production Data Warehouse environments.
- Strong ETL/data integration and troubleshooting experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of Linux experience.
- Teradata security and access management experience.
- Batch processing and scheduling framework experience.
- Data quality, profiling, cleansing, and standardization experience.
- Change management and code/DDL promotion experience.
- Disaster recovery and backup experience.
- Cloud-based BI tools experience.
- Government/State of Michigan experience.
- Experience providing technical training or guidance.
Salary : $75 - $85
