A successful Galleria area law firm in search of a LITIGATION PARALEGAL with personal injury experience. The paralegal position researches, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist Attorneys by performing a variety of support in Texas docket.
Must be comfortable with heavy client contact, excited to become involved in helping to litigate medical claims to resolution and possess the excellent communication and writing skills required in this fast-paced litigation environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings and documents (petitions, answers, motions and discovery) in State and Federal Court
- Finalizing and electronically filing and servicing documents and seeing to issuance and service of citation and subpoenas and coordinating with process servers
- Revising appellate briefs, creating tables of authorities and table of contents; finalizing and electronically filing and serving
- Assist attorneys at trial and/or hearings when needed
- Review and organize document productions, both to and from opposing parties
- Calculate and calendar all deadlines
- Coordinate depositions, mediations and arbitrations
- Perform online research of cases pending in other counties
Required:
- Degree preferred
- 3 plus years of litigation experience
- Able to write drafts for personal injury claims
- Medical claims experience

The position pays 85,000 to $100.000 dependent on good tenure and experience.
