Information Security Senior Associate
San Antonio, TX (Onsite 5 days a week)
Fulltime- DH position
Salary: $115-$125K annually depending on experience
Overview:
Seeking a hands-on security professional to support enterprise security operations, cloud security, and risk initiatives in a Microsoft-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and enhance security operations across Microsoft Defender and Sentinel
- Investigate and respond to incidents (phishing, endpoint threats, identity attacks)
- Maintain and improve incident response processes and playbooks
- Support identity security (Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM)
- Partner with IT to secure hybrid (on-prem Azure) environments
- Contribute to security policies, risk assessments, and compliance efforts (NIST/ISO)
- Support data protection initiatives (DLP, Purview, eDiscovery)
- Collaborate with internal teams and promote security best practices
- 5 years of experience in information security
- Strong experience with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (Azure AD), and M365 security tools
- Experience in hybrid environments (on-prem Azure)
- Proven incident response and investigation experience
- Solid understanding of security frameworks and risk management
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work onsite in San Antonio
- Microsoft certifications (SC-200, SC-300, AZ-500, etc.)
- CISSP, CISM, or similar
- Experience with Sentinel, KQL, or SOAR tools
- Background in regulated environments
