Title: Electrician
Location: Vienna, VA
Duration: Initial 6-month contract with possible extensions or conversion to FTE
Compensation: $30/hour - $36/hour
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Electrician
To install, alter, maintain and repair emergency power systems, electrical systems, UPS systems and electrical equipment, fixtures, tools, and appliances. Assist team leads on projects, preventative maintenance activities or emergency responses.

Responsibilities:

• Assist team leads in the installation and maintenance of emergency power systems, electrical systems, UPS systems and a wide variety of electrical equipment, fixtures, tools and appliances. Electrical systems include single and three phase with 120, 208, 277, 480, and 12470 volt gear, signal circuits, control circuits, and low voltage systems
• Assist team leaders in the diagnoses of problems, malfunctions, or design alterations to emergency power systems, electrical systems or electrical equipment, fixtures, tools and appliances
• Follows work schedules and reads and interprets directions, blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, and manufacturer manuals to complete assigned projects in a safe, effective, efficient manner
• May be designated as an escort for contractors or vendors to perform services
• Must adhere to safety rules and regulations
• To assist in ensuring optimal functioning of the electrical and mechanical systems, for the respective campus, to include all Data Center equipment and UPS systems
• Demonstrates discretion and good safety practices
• Performs other related duties as assigned or appropriate

Must‑Have Requirements:

• Active Journeyman Electrician license (required)
• Seasoned Journeyman preferred:
• 5 years holding Journeyman license
• Commercial experience preferred: 5 years (open to minimum 2.5 years)
• Commercial / mission‑critical experience required, including:
• Large‑scale facilities (1M sq ft)
• Data centers, distribution centers, industrial‑like environments
• Experience with UPS, PDUs, generators, and emergency response work
• Certificates and licenses must be uploaded in Fieldglass with the resume

Other Requirements:

• Practical experience of 1 year in maintenance and repair of commercial electrical systems
• Must possess valid driver's license
• Ability to read and interpret work schedules and directions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to attend and complete technical training for critical equipment such as UPS systems, Data center equipment etc.
• Possess an understanding of software such as word and excel
• Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Commercial electrical maintenance experience
• High school diploma or GED equivalent

Role Details:

• 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Long‑term role with potential for extension or FTE (not guaranteed)
• Overnight/weekend team needs additional support
