Director of Data & Analytical Products
Position Overview
The Director of Data & Analytical Products will serve as the leader responsible for establishing, evolving and enforcing the overall data strategy, governance, architecture, engineering, and analytics across the organization's IT landscape. This role will drive data innovation, ensuring that data becomes a true asset in enabling digital transformation, enhancing customer experience, improving operational efficiency, and supporting decision-making at all levels. To be successful, the role will need to unify governance, analytics and data engineering under a product mindset, driving outcomes, adoption and measurable impact across the various business functions.
Requirements
- Experience:
years of experience in data-related roles, including 5 years in leadership position. Strong preference for a candidate who has established a data management team. - Education
: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. - Communication:
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Develop and execute the enterprise-wide data strategy in alignment with business and IT objectives.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional data teams including data engineering, data science, data governance, and analytics.
- Championing a data-driven culture and advocating for data as a strategic business enabler.
- Lead a data management and governance software selection process.
Data Governance & Compliance
- Establish and oversee data governance frameworks, including policies for data quality, privacy, access, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with data regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards.
- Oversee the data compliance in regards to SOX and Celsius internal control framework.
Architecture & Infrastructure
- Define and manage enterprise data architecture, including cloud data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming architecture.
- Drive modernization initiatives.
Data Engineering & Integration
- Oversee the design and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and integration services across multiple systems (ERP, CRM, cloud, etc.).
- Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
Advanced Analytics & Insights
- Partner with business leaders to define KPIs and leverage data to generate actionable insights.
- Lead enterprise business intelligence to develop predictive models, dashboards, and self-service analytics capabilities where necessary.
Innovation & Emerging Technologies
- Explore and integrate AI/ML, and other emerging technologies into the organization's data strategy.
- Stay current with industry trends and introduce solutions where appropriate.
