Title: Data Integration (Informatica IDMC Expert)
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 6 months long term project
Compensation: $60-68.00/hr.
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.
Seeking an experienced Data Integration - Informatica IDMC Expert with a strong background in Data Integration Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of data integration and data quality tools from Informatica. Candidate should also have proficiency in IDMC microservices like CDI, CDI-PC, Cloud DVO, PC2CDI workbench and converting code from Informatica PowerCenter to IDMC. Please note that this role is for informatica platform administrator only and requires experience in managing informatica platforms along with migration using CDI-PC microservices.
Data Integration Operations Support Engineer:
Platform Management:
• Expertise in Informatica Administration tasks including Installation, Configuration of domains, Code Promotions/ Migrations, managing users, groups, associated privileges, performing backups and restore for domain components for Informatica tools.
• Hands-on experience in installation, configuration of CDI-PC , CDI, CAI and PowerCenter Modernization using informatica microservices
• Hands-on experience in migrating informatica PowerCenter code to IDMC CDI.
• Hands-on experience in administration and supporting Informatica's PowerCenter, Data Quality, CDI-PC, Power Exchange and Informatica Cloud(IDMC) and DVO etc.
• Familiarity with various inter-related tools for version control like Bitbucket, GitHub and scheduling tools like AutoSys.
• Hands-on Experience in setting up the security for Informatica environments/domains using LDAP and SAML
• Hands-on Experience in various performance tuning activities which includes identifying the potential bottle necks and thereby tuning ETL code for best performance.
• Expertise in UNIX shell scripting, communicating with server using pmcmd/pmrep and using CLI and rest API for the IDMC.
• Experience in setting up Informatica application Infrastructure like. profiles, parameters, environment variables etc.
• Experience in raising service requests with Informatica for resolving any product related issues
• Hands-on Experience in migrating various complex applications between environments and to Production using Informatica's deployment groups, folder/XML migration
• Hands-on Experience in creating informatica connections to connect to various relational and non-relational sources across all informatica tools.
• Familiarity with AWS services including Glue, S3, EKS, Data Pipeline, Step functions and establishing connectivity to AWS services like RDS from Informatica.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
• Participate in knowledge sharing, educating, and creating documentation with onshore/offshore teams.
• Proven strength in trouble shooting, problem solving, coordination and analysis
• Maintain and support existing platforms and evolve to newer technology stacks and architecture.
Documentation and Support:
1. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, procedures, and configurations using Confluence and Jira.
2. Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to other team members and stakeholders as needed.
3. Familiarity with creating various best practices documents for coding standards, migration best practices etc.
Qualification for Data Integration Operations Support Engineer:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
• Familiarity with Informatica tools On-Premises and IDMC microservices.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services, including Glue, S3, EKS, Data Pipeline, Step functions, RedShift, Amazon EMR.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
• At least 4 years of experience in Informatica Platform Administration.
