Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Temporary Full-Time Infant Teacher to join our team. This position is full-time and is expected to be temporary; however, there is potential for the role to become a long-term or permanent position based on the needs of the center and job performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about caring for infants and creating a warm, loving, and developmentally appropriate environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants ages 6 weeks and older.
- Follow each infant's individualized feeding, sleeping, and care schedule.
- Change diapers and assist with all daily care routines.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that encourage early learning and development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
- Accurately document feedings, diaper changes, naps, and daily activities.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members.
- Sanitize toys, cribs, changing stations, bottles, and classroom materials according to licensing requirements.
- Follow DHS licensing regulations and all center policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Experience working with infants or in a childcare setting is preferred.
- Early Childhood Education coursework or degree is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain active throughout the workday.
- Dependable, patient, nurturing, and a strong team player.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Friday
- Shift may vary between opening and closing hours based on the needs of the center.
