Inspiring Minds Daycare LLC is a licensed childcare center serving children from 6 weeks through Kindergarten readiness. Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant, Toddler, and/or Preschool Closing Teacher to join our team. This is a part-time position, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Classroom assignments are flexible and may vary between our infant, toddler, and preschool rooms based on the staffing needs of the center each week.
Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool-aged children.
- Supervise children during afternoon activities, outdoor play (when age appropriate), snack time, bottle feeding, and daily routines.
- Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, handwashing, naps, and classroom transitions as appropriate for each age group.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment throughout the afternoon.
- Complete daily closing responsibilities, including:
- Sanitizing toys, cribs, cots, and classroom materials.
- Cleaning and disinfecting tables, changing stations, high chairs, and learning areas.
- Sweeping, mopping, and organizing classrooms.
- Taking out trash and replacing liners.
- Restocking classroom supplies as needed.
- Preparing classrooms for the next day's activities.
- Ensuring all closing procedures are completed before leaving.
- Follow DHS licensing regulations and all center policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Experience working with infants and/or young children is preferred but not required.
- Dependable, caring, positive, flexible, and willing to work in the infant, toddler, or preschool classroom based on the center's needs.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.
