We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, organized, and compassionate Assistant Director to join our team. If you have a love for children and a talent for managing both classroom and administrative responsibilities, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
This is a full-time, year-round position that involves supporting the Director in daily operations, assisting in classrooms as needed, and contributing to a positive, nurturing environment for staff, children, and families.
What We’re Looking For:
A team player with strong leadership skills
Kind, patient, and dependable
Highly responsible, organized, and able to multitask
CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain upon hire)
Experience with early childhood education preferred
Familiarity with Creative Curriculum and Procare is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Director in day-to-day operations of the center
Step into classrooms when needed, ensuring quality care and supervision
Assist with staff supervision and scheduling
Help manage enrollment, including giving tours and completing paperwork
Follow up on parent inquiries and tour leads
Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment throughout the school
Communicate effectively with teachers, families, and visitors
Monitor compliance with all licensing regulations and internal policies
Track and support staff training hours and requirements
Help plan and participate in center events, open houses, and meetings
Use Procare to manage attendance, billing, and communications
Open or close the center as needed
Act as the Director when they are off-site or unavailable
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or higher
At least 1–2 years of experience in a childcare or preschool setting
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to providing high-quality early education and care
