This LPN works under the clinical direction of a psychiatric provider at Inspire Services LLC in St. Peter, Minnesota. The role includes medication administration, prescription coordination with pharmacies, patient assessments, taking vitals and documentation in electronic health records.
Key responsibilities

Perform patient care duties in accordance with Minnesota LPN licensure and clinic protocols.

Conduct basic triage and report findings to psychiatric provider.

Administer prescribed medications, including long-acting injectables.

Call in prescriptions and medication refills to pharmacies.

Monitor patients for medication side effects and report concerns to supervising provider.

Provide medication education under direction of psychiatric provider.

Coordinate with pharmacies and insurance providers for medication management.

Complete referrals and follow-up tasks as directed.

Conduct assessments including vital signs, weight, and medication reconciliation.

Document all care provided in electronic health record.

Respond to patient needs and assist in crisis situations under supervision.

Serve as liaison between patients and psychiatric provider.

Participate in staff development and training.

Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and the public.

Train and mentor new staff as requested.

Perform other related functions as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications

Current LPN licensure in Minnesota.

Authorization to call in prescriptions.

CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Pass background check.

Comply with federal and state laws and organizational policies.

Adhere to data practices policies regarding non-public data per Minnesota Statutes.
Preferred qualifications

Experience in mental health, behavioral health, or psychiatric clinic setting.

Knowledge of psychiatric medications.

Familiarity with electronic health records systems.

Crisis intervention training.
Hours of work
Part-time, 3 days per week. Schedule determined based on clinic needs.
Compensation
Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
