We are looking for a front office coordinator.  You are the comforting voice people hear when they are hurting and the welcoming face people first see when they walk into our clinic.  We need a teammate who is responsible, encouraging, and has experience with scheduling patients, insurance verifications, and authorizations.  We need someone who wants to continue to grow and learn new things as well as connect with people in a special way.  If that's you, we are waiting to meet you and welcome you to our team.  

 

FRONT OFFICE COORDINATOR

Job Description

Position Summary:

 Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Director, this position provides administrative support for the clinic and staff.  Incumbent will schedule, do insurance verification, take all incoming calls, be able to manage effectively and courteously with staff/patients/doctors and totally manage the front office.  Incumbent must exercise independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize the workload required to complete the work assigned. 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

In addition to the duties outlined in the Position Summary above, the following duties are the responsibility and subject to over-site by the FRONT OFFICE COORDINATOR. 

  • Schedules patient appointments.
  • Answers telephone call and takes appropriate messages.
  • Answers simple insurance questions.
  • Performs chart preparation of new patients.
  • Checks patients in as they arrive for their daily appointments.
  • Performs pre-authorization of insurance coverage.
  • Performs records custodian duties.
  • Balances petty cash.
  • Requests money for petty cash and stamps.
  • Performs all filing duties.

  • Demonstrates and maintains positive attitude.
  • Neat Appearance.

 

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

1)    Intermittent physical activity including but not limited to bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of sitting.

2)    Incumbent will be required to work at any of our facilities as necessary and be responsible for their own transportation to and from work site.

3)    Incumbent could be exposed to virus, disease, and infections from patients in the working environment.

4)    Incumbents schedule will be based on the needs of our clinics.

5)    Incumbent will work for extended periods of time at a video display terminal and will be required to use a keyboard to enter and gather information.
