As the Central Dialysis Admissions Coordinator, you will coordinate dialysis placement with physicians, hospitals, office staff, and dialysis units. To be successful as a Central Dialysis Admissions Coordinator, you should have:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 1-3 months related experience and/or training.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills for interfacing with patients, staff, and outside vendors.
- Ability to support a pleasant, positive, and cooperative teamwork environment.
- Ability to multi-task and lift and/or move 20 pounds essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Internet Explorer), DocTalk, IC Chart, and Medical Manager.
Your essential duties and responsibilities as the Central Dialysis Admissions Coordinator will include the following:
- Place patients in dialysis units in a timely and efficient manner.
- Obtain appropriate records for placement from multiple sources.
- Communicate with all appropriate care team members.
- Communicate dialysis schedule to patient and family members.
- Complete referral to Surgery Center for Access placement.
- Perform a variety of clerical duties, including but not limited to, scanning, faxing, retrieving records. etc.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with physicians, hospital staff, office staff and dialysis units.
- Completes data entry in multiple EMR's.
- Maintain and update all dialysis unit lists, hospital lists and contacts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
