Overview
We are working with a leading full-service US law firm that is looking to add a Corporate M&A Associate - Legal to its Boston office. This is a plug-and-play hire: the team wants someone who can run workstreams from day one, rather than a junior who needs building up. You would work on public and private M&A for strategic and private equity clients, with close partner involvement and a hybrid working pattern.

What you'll be doing
- Negotiating purchase agreements, merger agreements and ancillary documents
- Leading diligence exercises and supervising junior colleagues
- Running buy-side and sell-side M&A for corporates and sponsors
- Coordinating specialist input from tax, employment, IP and regulatory colleagues
- Managing signing and closing processes end to end
- Advising on minority investments, joint ventures and reorganisations

What we're looking for
- A rising fourth-year associate or above; the team is not considering anyone below third-year level
- Solid M&A experience gained at a US law firm, with deals you have genuinely run
- Massachusetts bar admission, or the ability to obtain it
- Private equity exposure is helpful, though not essential
- Commercial awareness and comfort working directly with clients
