Insignia Destinations is a boutique, storefront travel agency specializing in customized, high-touch travel experiences. We plan luxury vacations, complex itineraries, honeymoons, cruises, group travel, and destination celebrations. Our clients expect expertise, professionalism, and personalized service.
We are seeking an in-office Travel Associate to consult with clients, sell travel, and manage bookings from inquiry through confirmation.
Position Overview
The Travel Associate is a client-facing, sales-driven role based in our storefront location. This position is ideal for someone who is professional, organized, confident on the phone, and motivated by both hourly pay and commission incentives.
This is not a remote or hobby role. Consistent follow-up, in-person client interaction, and accountability are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients in person, by phone, and via email
- Quote, sell, and book customized travel (air, hotels, cruises, packages, tours)
- Follow up consistently on leads, inquiries, and proposals
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships
- Manage bookings from inquiry through confirmation
- Meet individual sales and performance goals
- Use preferred suppliers, systems, and workflows
- Maintain accurate client files, invoices, and documentation
- Provide high-touch service before and after booking
- Collaborate with the administrative team and agency owner
Required Qualifications
- Strong sales and customer service skills
- Professional, confident phone and in-person presence
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong follow-up and closing ability
- Organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced storefront environment
Preferred (But Not Required)
- Travel industry experience
- Sales, retail, or commission-based experience
- Hospitality or luxury service background
