This is not a typical Controller role.
We’re partnering with a growing organization in the agriculture sector that is launching a brand-new facility in the Seward, Nebraska area—and they’re hiring a Financial Controller to help build the accounting function from the ground up.
This is a newly created role, not a backfill. You won’t be inheriting someone else’s systems—you’ll be helping design, implement, and own them.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Owning all accounting operations for the facility
Ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, GL, etc.)
Implementing and improving internal controls
Leading month-end close and reconciliation processes
Supporting audit activities
Overseeing a small team (AP, payroll/HR, admin)
Partnering with leadership and contributing to financial visibility and decision-making
Working within a new ERP environment being implemented
What They’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
~4 years of accounting or finance experience
Strong attention to detail and accountability
Experience with ERP systems (any platform)
Exposure to manufacturing, operations, or cost accounting is a plus
Leadership experience or readiness to step into leadership
