Insight Memory Care Center is seeking a Full Time Recreation Coordinator (RC) to be responsible for day-to-day programming for day center program participants in all stages of dementia. The RC will be responsible for helping to assess the group needs of the participants in the early, mid, and late-stage programs, plan activities in coordination with the Director of Recreation (DR), and implement and evaluate activities for future planning. The RC will work with the Recreation Assistants to implement activities and monitor the participants’ engagement. The RC is also responsible for fostering a team-focused environment as well as practicing Person Centered Care for all participants in their programming and care needs.
The RC will report directly to the Director of Recreation. The RC will report any changes in participants’ conditions to the DR, Program Director, or Director of Nursing. The RC will also help participants with completing activities of daily living while at the Center.
Qualified Candidates should have experience working with individuals with dementia as well as experience working in a recreation/programming setting. Ideal education for candidates could include studies in recreation therapy, art therapy, music therapy, gerontology, etc. CTRS preferred.
