Position Summary: The Loan Closing and Servicing Specialist supports Opportunity Resource Fund's mission by ensuring all mortgage loan closings are properly prepared with a high level of accuracy and within the established time frame. The Loan Closing and Servicing Specialist is responsible for the pre-closing and pre-funding audit activities, including collecting, transferring, entering all data into core system (NLS), performing quality control file reviews, and supplemental servicing activities. The Loan Closing and Servicing Specialist ensures compliance with all state and federal guidelines and requirements in all loan activities.

Primary Work Location: The Loan Closing and Servicing Specialist must reside in Michigan and be willing to travel throughout the state as needed. Hybrid with onsite attendance in OppFund's Grand Rapids, Lansing, or Detroit office twice weekly as required.

Compensation & Benefits: Starting pay $24.00 - $28.00/hour; Full-time, Hourly, Nonexempt

Education & Credentials: High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree or coursework in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of previous experience working with single-family mortgages utilizing Fannie Mae, HUD, FHA, and MSHDA loans is required. Previous experience working in consumer lending is preferred. Strong financial acumen and mathematical skills. Technologically savvy with advanced computer skills, including proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams), database programs, Internet and various cloud-based systems.
