Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of systems administration experience supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments
- Hands-on cloud infrastructure experience with AWS and/or Azure, including IAM, networking, compute, storage, DNS, and security controls
- Strong networking knowledge including DNS, VPNs, routing, firewalls, subnets, security groups, and connectivity troubleshooting
- Experience building, maintaining, and optimizing Docker containers and development environments
- Proficiency with Bash and/or PowerShell scripting for automation, provisioning, and infrastructure management
Nice To Have Requirements:
- Experience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, and large-scale infrastructure automation initiatives
- Exposure to cloud security implementations, 2FA platforms, process optimization, and operational efficiency improvements
Job Description:
A client of Insight Global is seeking an Infrastructure & Systems Engineer to support a highly technical engineering organization. This individual will serve as a key technical resource across systems administration, networking, cloud infrastructure, containerization, and automation. The ideal candidate enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, identifying root causes, and implementing long-term solutions that improve reliability and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include supporting Windows, Linux, and macOS environments, provisioning systems and development environments, managing cloud infrastructure within AWS and/or Azure, and maintaining networking components such as DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and routing configurations. The engineer will also support Docker-based environments, automate operational processes through scripting, and partner closely with software engineers and developers to ensure a stable and scalable infrastructure environment.
Compensation:
$125,000 to $160,000 per year annual salary.
