Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking a senior data governance professional to help establish and operationalize customer‑domain data governance in support of its SAP Customer Core transformation. This role will work closely with enterprise data governance, SAP system integrators, and customer business stakeholders to define data ownership, standards, definitions, and reporting needs during blueprinting and implementation.
Must‑Have Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data analytics
- Strong understanding of data governance standards, policies, and frameworks
- Experience translating technical data concepts into business‑friendly language
- Experience working on large transformation programs (SAP or comparable)
- Ability to operate as an individual contributor in an ambiguous, evolving environment
- Strong documentation skills (processes, standards, definitions)
- Familiarity with one of or multiple: Jira, Confluence, Databricks, Salesforce, Signavio
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Associate’s considered with strong experience)
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
- SAP experience (any module)
- SAP IS‑U exposure (strong nice‑to‑have, not required)
- Utility or energy industry experience
- Experience working with customer master data
- Experience working alongside system integrators (e.g., IBM)
- Background in consulting or advisory roles
Job Duties / Day‑to‑Day Expectations
- Partner with enterprise data governance to understand standards and policies
- Define how those standards apply within customer data domains
- Identify customer sub‑domains, data owners, and governance responsibilities
- Support SAP blueprinting by:
- Defining customer data requirements
- Clarifying data definitions and sources
- Connecting data governance to reporting and program needs
- Collaborate closely with:
- IBM / SAP architects
- Internal data architects
- Business and technology stakeholders
- Document governance processes, data definitions, and ownership models
- Act as a translator between business teams and technical teams
- Contribute thoughtfully in meetings while being able to dive deep when needed
- Help establish a repeatable, scalable model for customer data governance
Compensation:
$50/hr to $90/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law
Salary : $155,555 - $187,000
