What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Insight Global?
Location: Remote (preferred near Marana, AZ)
Travel: ~50% (bi-weekly site visits across TX, AZ, NM, CA)
We’re looking for a Safety Manager to support large-scale federal construction projects with a focus on civil and electrical work. This role is a mix of remote flexibility and consistent travel to active job sites to ensure safety standards are being upheld.
What you’ll be doing:
- Travel to active construction sites every other week to assess and enforce safety practices
- Develop and maintain safety documentation including SWPPP, AHA’s, and lift plans
- Lead jobsite safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Manage and coordinate safety equipment and PPE across multiple project sites
- Partner with field teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to HSE standards
- Prepare and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) plans and reporting
What we’re looking for:
- 4 years of experience as a Safety Manager on federal or government construction projects
- Strong experience supporting projects with civil and electrical scopes
- Hands-on experience with safety documentation (SWPPP, AHA, lift plans, etc.)
- Comfortable traveling regularly across multiple states
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with field teams
