Job Description:
Insight Global is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a top electrical construction client supporting active, fast-paced data center jobsites. This individual will serve as the on-site safety authority, ensuring crews, subcontractors, and leadership operate in full compliance with OSHA standards and company safety programs. The ideal candidate brings hands-on construction safety experience, confidence enforcing safety in the field, and the ability to lead crews through training, hazard mitigation, and incident prevention. This role is critical to maintaining a culture where safety is prioritized even under tight deadlines.
Required Job Skills:
- 3 years of construction safety experience on active jobsites
- One of the following credential paths:
- ASP (Associate Certified Professional)
- GSP (Graduate Safety Practitioner) 3 years field experience
- OSHA 500 3 years construction safety experience
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards
- Experience conducting jobsite safety walks and hazard identification
- Ability to enforce safety rules and issue stop-work authority when needed
Plusses:
- CHST, STS-C, or CSP certification
- OSHA 510 (if OSHA 500 is pending)
- Experience conducting OSHA 10 & 30 training
- Prior involvement in OSHA inspections or audits
- Union jobsite experience
- Strong safety metrics exposure (TRIR, EMR, incident trend analysis)
