Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a senior Warehouse Portfolio Manager for a growing mortgage lending and warehouse finance team. This individual will serve as a strong in-office leader and subject matter expert across warehouse lending, mortgage banking operations, loan closing/funding, loan sale processes, and portfolio management. The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded understanding of how mortgage bankers, brokers, investors, and warehouse lenders operate, including the steps required for brokers to transition into mortgage banking and the broader funding lifecycle.
This person will work closely with executive leadership, relationship managers, sales teams, client services, loan operations, investors, and referral sources to support existing portfolio activity while helping drive incremental business growth tied to volume increases. They will assist with credit opportunities, term sheets, customer requests, portfolio monitoring, reporting, and relationship development, while also traveling to meet with investors and referral partners to maintain and expand loan flow. The best fit will be someone who is knowledgeable, polished, relationship-driven, and comfortable acting as both a portfolio expert and business development resource.
Must-Haves
- 10 years of experience in mortgage banking, mortgage warehouse lending, portfolio management, capital markets, loan operations, or a closely related field
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage banking origination, warehouse lending, loan closing, loan funding, underwriting, and loan sale processes
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end loan lifecycle, especially the closing/funding stage and how loans move from lender to investor
- Experience working with mortgage bankers, brokers, referral sources, investors, or warehouse lending relationships
- Ability to explain and support the process of brokers converting into mortgage bankers
- Understanding of key funding models, including bank-funded lending and table funding structures
- Strong relationship management and business development skills, especially with investors and referral sources
- Ability to support credit opportunities, term sheets, customer documentation requests, and internal credit presentations
- Experience monitoring portfolio risk, covenant compliance, loan performance, exceptions, aged loans, bulge requests, and audit/control items
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with sales, relationship management, client services, operations, and leadership
- Must be local to the Frisco, Texas area and able to work in-office
- Comfortable with 25–50% travel
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Assist the President of Warehouse Lending with credit opportunities, term sheets, and portfolio strategy
- Collaborate with relationship managers and sales teams to develop account strategies and execute on client needs
- Support new and existing customer requests by gathering, tracking, and reviewing required documents
- Prepare materials and assist with presentations for credit approval of new opportunities
- Monitor existing portfolio performance, covenant compliance, aged loans, exceptions, bulge requests, and other audit/control needs
- Ensure client credit opportunities and approvals align with internal policies and procedures
- Identify and escalate credit risk, funding issues, or performance concerns to management
- Serve as a liaison between sales, relationship managers, client services, loan operations, investors, and leadership
- Travel to meet with investors, referral sources, and business partners to maintain and grow loan production volume
- Cultivate and develop sales relationships that support the broader sales team’s pipeline
- Research market trends, identify new opportunities, and support business growth initiatives
- Participate in department projects and process improvements as assigned
- Provide day-to-day customer service and operational support for warehouse lending relationships

Salary : $95,000 - $100,000
