About the Role
Insight Global is seeking an ESS Technician to support a federal security solutions client in the Washington, DC area. This individual will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance of electronic security systems at federal facilities. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Access Control Systems (ACS), and CCTV systems and is comfortable supporting mission-critical security infrastructure in a field-based environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and emergency repairs on electronic security systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, wiring, and system communication issues.
- Install, upgrade, and maintain IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems.
- Conduct security system audits and ensure compliance with federal security requirements.
- Support system commissioning, testing, and validation activities.
- Train government personnel and end users on system functionality and best practices.
- Assist with security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSP) and Authority to Operate (ATO) packages.
- Maintain detailed service records, testing results, and project documentation.
- Travel to customer locations throughout the Washington, DC area to provide onsite support.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience working with Electronic Security Systems (ESS).
- Hands-on experience with:
- Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS)
- Access Control Systems (ACS)
- CCTV / Video Surveillance Systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- Willingness to travel as needed within the region.
- Self-motivated, dependable, and capable of working independently.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
$30/hr to $40/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
