Role Summary
Insight Global is seeking a Quality Inspector to sit onsite at an Automotive Client in Dover, Ohio. You will be responsible for performing quality checks and monitoring critical stages of the production process to ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements, identifying issues early to minimize rework and improve yield.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual and basic functional inspections during assembly and manufacturing
- Inspect parts and assemblies for defects, damage, or missing components
- Follow work instructions, checklists, and quality standards
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
- Identify and report quality issues to supervisors or quality leads
- Support ESD‑safe handling and follow safety procedures at all times
- Assist with reducing scrap and rework by catching issues early
- Work closely with production and quality teams on the shop floor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, vocational training or technical diploma in mechanical or electronics field preferred.
- 1-2 years of in-process or final quality inspection, preferably in automotive manufacturing.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of ESD handling and safety compliance as well as IPC standards is preferred
- Proficiency with inspection tools and techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to lift up to 30lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
