A leading aerospace manufacturing company in Renton, WA is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for driving quality initiatives across manufacturing, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting continuous improvement efforts across operations and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the Quality function within a manufacturing environment
- Implement and maintain quality management systems including AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP standards
- Ensure products meet required specifications, dimensions, and customer quality requirements
- Lead continuous improvement efforts across manufacturing, customer feedback, and supply chain processes
- Analyze quality data and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support inspection processes, quality documentation, and compliance initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and suppliers to resolve quality issues
- Develop and manage supplier quality requirements and expectations
- Lead or contribute to MRB (Material Review Board) processes
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, preferably in aerospace manufacturing
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (aerospace interiors preferred)
- Strong knowledge of quality systems such as AS9100 or ISO 9000
- Experience with NPI, APQP, RCCA, and quality inspection processes
- Proficiency in reading and applying GD&T
- Strong experience in root cause analysis, corrective actions, and data-driven problem solving
- Experience using statistical analysis to improve manufacturing and supply chain processes
- Knowledge of quality assurance/control methods, inspection standards, sampling, and metrology
- Experience working with ERP systems and quality management systems (QMS)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
Nice to Have:
- Experience with calibration tools and advanced measurement systems
- Prior experience developing supplier quality requirements
- Experience leading MRB programs and continuous improvement initiatives
