Title: Project Controls Analyst II

Location: Hybrid in San Ramon, CA

Duration: 12 month contract

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Project Management or Business from an accredited school or University or equivalent related experience
• 6 years of Scheduling experience; Extensive experience with Primavera P6; building from the ground up, developing and maintaining schedules
• Excel pivot tables, Vlookup, Earned Value, SPI/CPI
• Cost Analysis and financials experience
• Knowledge of, and experience with the major aspects of engineering workflow, procurement, construction, project controls including experience scheduling medium to large, complex projects.
• Has in-depth knowledge of cost accounting and critical path method scheduling with strong attention to detail in project scheduling
• Demonstrated communication skills (oral and written) to deal with internal/external clients.
• 1 years related electrical/utility experience is preferred

Day-to-Day:

The Project Controls Analyst will have overall responsibility for developing and maintaining project schedules in support of vegetation management projects including inspections and tree work, supporting substation and transmission. The Project Scheduler will work with Program Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors in developing, updating, and publishing project schedules. The Project Scheduler will be the subject matter expert on scheduling tools and methods and maintain a high degree of external and internal customer service via clear and timely communication and reporting. They will be creating the P6 schedule from the ground up and help implement this for all teams to utilize for project work.

The PCA, in coordination with Project Manager, develop project schedule and cash flow/forecast plans with functional department input, attend Project and Job kickoff and walk down meetings, and create, maintain and update schedules. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of functional experience. They will also be able to develop, maintain and control project schedule plans using appropriate software (for ex: SAP Project System, SAP Work Management System, Primavera P6, and MS Project). You’ll be responsible for supporting operations and leadership in schedule development using Primavera P6 and will also be responsible for cost plan development and analysis. The successful candidate should be comfortable working on multiple projects at once and have a successful background supporting project management teams.

Essential Functions of the Position:

1. Develop resource and cost loaded project baseline schedule and forecast & maintain project schedules using Primavera P6
2. Assure credibility of the information contained in the schedule and verify schedule integrity and evaluate logic and float paths
3. Document, monitor, and communicate project milestone, and risks with appropriate stakeholders
4. Prepare and maintain companywide labor resource schedule and provide insights into capacity and demand forecast

1. Ability to run schedule variance reports for the project team to analyze schedule risk and change
2. Implements and oversees the scheduling and cost control systems as needed for their assigned projects
3. Works with the Functional Leads and Project Manager to develop high complexity detailed project schedules consistent with the project work breakdown structure.
4. Ability to cost load and/or resource load schedules if required by the Project Manager or Client
5. Review schedules with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that accurate and timely data is incorporated in the schedule
6. Provide project controls management, including baseline schedule development and management, baseline change control, risk management, and earned value management guidance and tools.
7. Provide project "look ahead" schedules to project teams and resource managers.
8. Effectively communicate accurate status to the project team and clients in a timely manner

Compensation: $55.00-70.00/hr
