Title: Production Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical focused)
Duration: 12 month Contract possibility of extension/conversion permanently
- Eligible for benefits during contract duration
- Paid x1.5 for any overtime
- W2 contract
Location: Onsite – 40 to 50 hours a week in Berea, KY.
Travel: Must be open to travel to Japan in the back half of the year for 2 weeks.
Pay rate: $40-55/hr, potential flexibility up to $65/hr depending on experience!
Must Haves:
- 3 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
- Broad engineering skills but experience with automation, control systems, and robotics if more electrical focused!
- Has overseen the implementation of a new production line
- Automotive industry experience (automotive industry experience is not required if candidate has over 7 years of professional engineering experience!)
- Documentation: putting together all the PFMEAs, Control Plans, Work Instructions.
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline (Electrical preferred)
- Must have some sort of electrical background or experience when it comes to production or manufacturing
Plusses:
- Has worked with a Japanese company or supplier example: Honda
- Six Sigma Certification
Day to Day:
This Electrical Production Engineer will be a part of the xEV Regional Production Engineering (PE) group for Hybrid and Electric Vehicle products, and will be responsible for activities and support for Electric Motor programs (manufacturing). The Production Engineer will establish specifications, equipment, processes, quotations, and other documentation for programs related to electric motor products and will oversee the development, acquisition, and installation of new manufacturing equipment and production lines.
As part of this role, the Production Engineer ensures that new production equipment produces parts at world-class uptime and reliability levels and that the parts meet customer and company specifications. The Production Engineer also ensures that projects are implemented following established schedules and completed on time and that the equipment is verified and qualified for mass production utilization.
This position is part of a team-based structure and interacts with multiple other roles, including process engineering, design engineering, quality assurance, building and equipment maintenance, production management, and others. Also, this role will identify synergy potential across programs and establish and apply best practices to drive cost effective solutions utilizing lessons learned and continuous improvement methods.
Salary : $40 - $65
