Job Title: New Product Development Program Manager
Location: Chattanooga, TN (Onsite; relocation available)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with ~10% domestic travel
Compensation: $150,000-$160,000/Year 10% Bonus
Job Summary
Insight Global is seeking an NPD Program Manager to support a leading industrial manufacturing client in the Chattanooga, TN area. This individual will lead enterprise-level new product development initiatives focused on heavy machinery and equipment manufacturing. The role is responsible for driving portfolio governance, prioritization, and program execution while partnering cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement portfolio management frameworks for NPD projects
- Establish governance structures and project prioritization processes
- Lead project and program planning sessions across multiple initiatives
- Facilitate project status meetings and executive stakeholder reviews
- Create and maintain schedules, RAID logs, budgets, and resource plans
- Monitor project health, KPIs, and overall portfolio performance
- Present program updates and portfolio reporting to senior leadership
- Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and operations
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Manage vendor and third-party relationships as needed
- Mentor project teams throughout the NPD lifecycle
- Support new product launches from concept through commercialization
- Drive continuous improvement of NPD processes and governance
- Oversee initiatives related to product enhancements and operational efficiencies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- 10 years of end-to-end project management or product management
- Strong experience leading New Product Development (NPD) programs
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial, or heavy equipment environments
- Experience building project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
- Strong stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
- Experience with governance frameworks and risk management
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana)
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PfMP, or similar certification
- Leadership or team management experience
- Portfolio management experience
- Experience establishing NPD governance frameworks
- Experience working within matrix organizations
- Product commercialization and product introduction experience
Salary : $150,000 - $160,000
