Salary: 85k-110k

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Master Scheduler to develop, maintain, and communicate integrated schedules for factory construction, installation, and manufacturing projects. This individual will serve as the central scheduling liaison among project management, production, materials management, procurement, sales, engineering, and plant operations.

The Senior Master Scheduler will ensure that project milestones, production requirements, material availability, plant capacity, and customer delivery commitments are incorporated into realistic and executable schedules. The position requires someone who can identify constraints and dependencies early, communicate schedule risk clearly, and lead cross-functional recovery planning when projects fall behind.

This role supports multiple manufacturing locations and requires a strong understanding of production scheduling, capacity planning, materials planning, and ERP-driven planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules for factory construction, installation, production, and customer delivery activities.
• Translate awarded purchase orders, demand forecasts, and customer requirements into achievable production and project schedules.
• Coordinate schedules across production, materials management, purchasing, project management, sales, shipping, engineering, finance, and plant operations.
• Identify critical-path activities, cross-functional dependencies, capacity constraints, and material risks.
• Monitor production capacity, daily throughput, inventory levels, order bookings, revenue plans, and product-line delivery performance.
• Facilitate daily or weekly production and planning meetings while documenting schedule risks, decisions, owners, and recovery actions.
• Partner with materials and procurement teams on clear-to-build readiness, inventory plans, purchasing requirements, and component availability.
• Adjust schedules based on changes in product mix, customer priorities, labor availability, material constraints, and plant capacity.
• Develop long-term capacity plans based on demand forecasts, sales projections, production plans, and operational performance.
• Analyze customer orders and planning performance to improve lead times, on-time shipment, inventory turns, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Implement scheduling best practices and process improvements within the organization’s ERP and planning systems.
• Communicate schedule status, delays, trade-offs, and recovery plans to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
• Manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing, industrial construction, materials management, production planning, master scheduling, or a related planning function.
• Demonstrated experience with production scheduling, capacity planning, materials planning, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience using Oracle ERP, preferably Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong experience with Smartsheet.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams or planning initiatives without relying solely on direct authority.
• Understanding of sales and operations planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and manufacturing capacity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify schedule constraints and evaluate operational trade-offs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across departments, locations, and organizational levels.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities with limited supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• APICS certification, such as CPIM or CSCP, or CPM certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, operations, engineering, or a related field.
• MBA or another relevant advanced degree.
• Experience with CyberPlan or a similar advanced planning and scheduling platform.
• Experience in a high-mix, job-shop, engineer-to-order, or project-driven manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Vertiv products or the data-center power, thermal management, and critical infrastructure market.
• Bilingual communication skills.

They will also bring structure and accountability to planning meetings rather than simply updating dates in a scheduling system.
