JOB DESCRIPTION
A client in the Huntsville, AL area is looking for a Linux System Administrator to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for managing provisioning for all Linux systems and endpoints. They will be responsible for setting up policies, managing end user accounts, managing certificates, and patching servers as needed. Additionally, this role will serve as the Tier 3 SME for escalated Linux Systems support.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
5 years of Systems Administration Experience
3 years of Linux Systems administration
RedHat or Ubuntu
Experience building virtual servers
Experience setting policies around security and device hardening
Python or BASH scripting experience
Security certification (or willingness to obtain this within 6 months of starting the role)
Eligible for US Security Clearance
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
VMware Hyper-V or ESXi
Azure or AWS
ITIL
Understanding of change management
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Compensation:
$90k/yr to $105k/yr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
Salary : $90,000 - $105,000
