Role Overview

A client of Insight Global in the digital banking industry is seeking a Lead Cloud Network Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and optimization of our multi-cloud network infrastructure. This role requires a hands-on leader with an architectural mindset who can manage complex integrations and ensure seamless connectivity across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of cloud networking solutions in a multi-cloud environment.
• Provide hands-on support for network engineering tasks and troubleshooting.
• Integrate and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) within existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions.
• Act as a technical escalation point, quickly resolving critical issues.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, leveraging managerial experience to build a strong team.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 10–15 years of experience in network engineering with strong cloud networking expertise.
• Proven experience in multi-cloud environments (GCP required; AWS/Azure a plus).
• Strong architectural mindset with ability to design and implement complex solutions.
• Hands-on technical skills with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in real time.
• Experience with GCP integration and related networking services.
• Background in operating systems and network protocols.
• Prior managerial experience leading technical teams.

Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles:

Compensation:

$50/hr to $60/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
